This fine specimen features vesuvianite, also known as idocrase, nicely positioned on a contrasting calcite matrix. The vesuvianite crystals display rich brown to reddish-brown tones with well-defined prismatic forms, standing out prominently against the light-colored calcite. The strong color contrast and natural crystal arrangement give the specimen an excellent overall display.
